linux - What is the purpose of NetworkManager service in RHEL 6? -

could please explain exact purpose of networkmanager service in rhel 6? please explain happens if service stopped or started.

networkmanager service replacement of network service. provides more advantage uses network service, e.g. monitoring of network interfaces, automatic network detection , configuration, editing network scripts many (also graphical) tools , more. if stop service, network configuration done networkmanager won't work , have configure netowrk in way, e.g. network service. if start networkmanager again, previous configuration work fine again.
