gmail java api sending with attachment takes ages -

google seems send devs here help gmail api, please excuse first post.

i connecting , sending email using java gmail api attachment. problem having seems take 10 minutes execute ....send("me", message).execute() method.

i have tried enabling gzip compression setting necessary header values seems have helped, still unacceptably slow little file upload should finish in few seconds.

so, questions experts here are:

1) else experiencing slow performance attachments? 2) there improve way perhaps using upload features?

any help appreciated.

if attachments size gmail api won't take big base64 json payload. depending on http client utilize might exceptions "error writing server". upload seems way go attachments larger 1mb.
