google app engine - AppEngine in Go not returning Content-Length from urlfetch.Head -

i trying perform head request url can content-length header , range requests.

however found out appengine doesn't homecoming content-length header when doing urlfetch.head. documentation explicit responses, not requests.

it works correctly when using net/http of go library.

is there solution this? head request without content-length kind of useless in opinion.

for reasons beyond understanding, app engine not include content length in response header request method.
